1997 – Awarded the “Friendship of Peoples” medal by Boris Yeltsin on the occasion of his 60th birthday.
1999-2001 – Participated in the creation of the Union of Armenians of Russia.
2002 – Elected as a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Arts.
