Born in Vanadzor (Armenia) in 1937.
After completing secondary school, he worked as a graphic designer at a chemical plant in Vanadzor.
From 1975, he devoted himself entirely to painting.
He pursued self-education by studying the works of great masters in museums in Yerevan and Moscow, as well as through books and albums. He considered Armenian miniaturists and masters such as Vardges Sureniants, Alexander Bzhishkyan-Melikyan, Minas, and others as his teachers.
In world painting, he preferred Rembrandt and Van Gogh.
He believed that the natural beauty of the Lorri Gorge had a significant role in shaping his identity as an artist.
In 1986, the album “Armenian Palette” was published in Czechoslovakia, featuring five of his works alongside those of Minas, Saryan, and Bzhishkyan-Melikyan.
In 1987, he donated six works to the Museum of Contemporary Art in Yerevan.
He passed away in Vanadzor in 1992.
His works are held in the Museum of Contemporary Art in Yerevan and numerous private collections.
